Hingham, MA Engagement Session at Bare Cove Park {Elissa + Jason}

Back in October I got a message, "Is it too early to start booking for an April 2017 wedding?!" Um, no way! I was so excited to meet with Elissa and Jason and talk all about how they met, how he proposed, and their Newport, RI wedding at Oceancliff. {PS - It's never too early for Newport! I would shoot in that town every day if I could. I love love love the coastal vibe, all things New England and of course, a stop for a Del's Lemonade!}

Backing up though, I actually met Elissa several years ago while visiting a good friend of mine at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. My friend, like Elissa, was awaiting a heart transplant and another close friend in the yoga world asked me to stop in to see Elissa {even though we had never met} to send along some positive vibes and love from her yoga studio. {Then Jai Yoga, now Chakra Power Yoga.} Well, I certainly wasn't going to say no so I awkwardly stopped by to relay my well wishes and actually met not only Elissa but also her parents and Jason, too. While I was only there for a few minutes, there is something extremely intimate about visiting someone at the hospital, and I found myself following Elissa's story to make sure her transplant went well.

So, clearly, I was overjoyed when she reached out with the good news about her engagement.

Fast forward to last week, I met up with Elissa and Jason at Bare Cove Park in Hingham, MA for their engagement session. The evening was perfect. The sunlight was amazing. Not even a few steps into the park, on the outskirts really, we found the most gorgeous sunlight peaking in and out through the trees and started their photo shoot right there. We walked around by the water, through some small trails and even danced in the woods. Okay, to be fair, they danced, not me, but you get the picture. We ended the session by a beautiful flower garden filled with lilacs and vibrant greenery. Hello, summer! These two were so much fun, so goofy, so real, and clearly so in love. Now the only hard part will be waiting until April to photograph these lovebirds again. Enjoy!
