Boston, MA Yoga Photo Shoot along The Charles River Esplanade

This photo shoot is exactly what I love about Boston. There is just something about the charm of the city, the beauty of the Charles {as long as you're not swimming in it} and the whole energy of being near the water and near the city at the same time. The sail boats, the sunsets, the touristy gondolas all play at my heart strings every time. The Esplanade along the Charles River will always have a place in my heart after taking countless walks there while at BU. At the time I didn't realize how lucky I was to have the city at my fingertips.

Boston, MA Mehndi Ceremony for Allie at the Taj

Allie is one of those people who is so incredibly kind, friendly, funny, and amazingly down to earth all in one. I was so honored when she asked me to photograph her Mehndi Ceremony.  Beforehand, I researched what Mehndi was all about and learned that it's really something pretty incredible. Mehndi is applied in a decorative pattern to the bride's hands and feet a few days before her wedding. The medicinal properties of the Mehndi actually help to keep the bride healthy and calm as she prepares for her wedding day. There are also several fun aspects, like the darker the Mehndi, the stronger the marriage, and the artist typically hides the groom's name in the pattern for him to discover! I loved being a part of this ceremony with Allie and her family.
